CULTURAL CODE 2.0
MOROZOVSKY TOWN. DEFROST
Tver is a major city between Moscow and St. Petersburg. In 1859 it was in Tver that the first microdistrict in the history of Russia was created with jobs, housing for different types of families, a school, an observatory, and parks. This area still exists today, and it is the Morozovsky town which now needs renovation.

Students of the Territorial Development Management program created a concept for the improvement of the territory of Morozovsky town. The uniqueness of the project lies in the multifaceted approach to the territory. The concept is divided into three main parts, which are independent and complementary at the same time: a master plan, management through participation and activation (launching the implementation of a territory development strategy).

RITUAL VESSELS OF THE SIRIN CIVILIZATION
False information flooding the media and the Internet makes you believe in conspiracy theories and non-existent Worlds, especially if there is material evidence for this in the form of objects. At the moment, "simulations" and false information that we cannot refute or have long believed in it as the truth is the cultural code of our civilization.

OYNA
OYNA is a site-generator of a unique ornament, a "pattern" of your nationality. On the platform of the site you can choose your nationality and the site will generate a unique image with an ornament.

One of the main ideas is to popularise their roots, culture and disappearing patterns of different nationalities. This will give a new perspective on the meaning of "Culture Bearer".

WE LIVED SO STRANGE FOR 2000 YEARS
This is a dialogue between young artists, graduates of the MSCA Contemporary Art program, and the “Russian style”, the most important phenomenon in the decorative arts of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The artists acted as interpreters of cultural traditions, addressing the problems of the Russian style through quoting and reinterpreting myths, images, symbols, objects, and literature.

WHERE IS MY HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRESENT?
Have you ever had that no one but a couple of relatives wish you a happy birthday? Especially if you didn’t indicate the date on your social media. Facebook didn’t send a notification to your friends, and you didn’t post the Stories about the event on Instagram.

In this project, Ira Smolikova reflects on the feeling of loneliness. About the state that seems to be part of our increasingly digital life, when we live in a world where we are alone, even if in constant contact with many people. In terms of visual approach, the author uses a constructed reality, a combination of fashion aesthetics and mockumentary.

Particular attention was paid to the selection of locations for shooting. The locations, where the main character lives, are modern, while referring to the motifs of the post-Soviet times and the style of a Russian village hut with whitewashed walls. This atmosphere allows you to draw parallels with the childhood of the heroine, the interiors of that time and draw a line between the past and the present state.

The project was made with the participation of contemporary Russian fashion designers.

LYCEUM IN PAVLOVSKY PARK
The diploma project of Zulfiya Kamalova was devoted to the modes of coexistence of nature and man: the study of architecture in the landscape, that is, in the natural environment, and the landscape around architecture. As part of her graduation project, Zulfiya designed a lyceum for middle and high school students — an educational institution for 20−30 people — in Pavlovsky Park near St. Petersburg. Zulfiya formulated independently the features of the functional program.

The Lyceum is arranged as a smooth, spiral, looping musical composition consisting of four buildings — a study house, a living house, a food house and a stargazing tower. Each building has a different number of floors that grows from one to four, like an upward movement in music. Movements in the park occur from one scenery spot to another, and therefore the lyceum houses create new views relative to each other and the surrounding landscape.
